AFAGO SP is an association, founded in December 1993 in Brazil, which operates in the community of Villa Aparecida, known as the Pedreira favela. The organization deals with assisting children and adolescents.
For some time, in Afago-SP1, we have been using “Idea of the month” in our monthly meeting with employees and also with children and teenagers: because we find that this text can be shared with everyone.
With employees, every month, a group prepares a series of slides, using “Idea of the Month”, always trying to understand how each of us can put it into practice, not only there, in the AFAGO headquarters, but also in everyday life.
With children from 6 to 10 years old it is presented through drawings made by them, while with the older ones, those from 11 to 14 years old, it is read, understood together and immediately afterwards, everyone can freely express what touched them about the text and some even let the others share in the experiences they have already had in this regard and possible applications in life.
