Every year, many people with different beliefs about reality come together to work for the unity of the human family.
With unity the world can change, communion, brotherhood and solidarity can be created. This is the experience of a group that, in Spain, lives the IDEA OF THE MONTH. For some years, they have felt driven to commit themselves to unity and to build bridges in numerous areas of daily life.
This is an urgent invitation to live and act to achieve unity in these very special days, and to continue throughout the year and throughout our lives. Our divisions are a serious wound that needs to be healed, first of all by compassion and then by the commitment to know each other, respect each other and testify together that dialogue is possible.
A safe step to follow: first of all stay in love. At the same time, delicately satisfy the needs of the people with whom we share a small or large part of our day, with generosity and without interest, so as to "bear much fruit".
The words of Chiara Lubich pronounced in Geneva in October 2002 resonate with great relevance: “How much love is neededis in the world! (.) We have understood that the present time requires the love of each of us, it requires unityat, communion, solidarityat”. And it also requires healing the wounded unity in many painful situations.
