Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming the way we live, work, communicate and make decisions. But, beyond the possibilities offered by technology, an even deeper question emerges: what does it mean to be human today and what future do we want to build?
From this question comes a new path of meeting and dialogue inspired by the encyclical Magnificent Humanity of Pope Leo XIV. A group of people with different experiences and sensitivities chose to put the document in dialogue with some of the great transformations of our time.
The project proposes ten meetings which will start from the knowledge and critical reading of the encyclical to then address topics such as artificial intelligence, the person, democracy and politics, the economy and work, environmental sustainability and responsibility in the use of new technologies.
More than a series of conferences, it aims to be a dialogue laboratory: the interventions of the experts will offer ideas to open questions and discuss freely, even between different positions.
The initiative is open to everyone, believers, atheists and agnostics, without the need for specific knowledge on artificial intelligence. The common thread is the desire to better understand the changes underway and to reflect together on how to direct technology to the service of the person and a sustainable future.
The first meeting will be held Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 8.30 pm. Participation is free and the meetings will take place mainly online on Zoom.
